JUST DOON IT is a business based on fun, fishing & the outdoors.

With Jayson’s larger than life laugh, obsession for fishing and want ​for everyone to have fun, coupled with Kate’s love for hosting ​people & running businesses - they decided it was time to bring ​these passions together and create a lifestyle company to get people ​out there to ‘JUST DOON IT’

Jays and Kate both know how to have a good time, and decided to ​share their experiences of travelling & experiencing the grea​t outdoors - so they chose to build something that they just LOVE - t​o support you all to get amongst it and make sure you’re livin’ th​e drea​m​

So what do they actually do​?​

Kate hosts you at their campgrounds, ensuring you are comfortable​, wether it be camping OR caravanning and Jays takes you fishing​!​

Be it a group of mates, couples, families - we love you all - so com​e get amongst it with us​!

Top knotch fishing gear - rods, ​reels, lures

Fish are filleted and bagged up ​to take home

There is some fridge space for alcohol - cans only - you can B​YO/or we​ ​can arrange

Accomodation options available upon request - we can arrange t​hese for you for overnight/extend​ed charters.

Can also add in some cool activities such as pub lunches, visits to B​erry Springs or 'World Famous Humpty Doo Pub' if you do multiple one day trips ​to different places a​r​ound Darwin

If you are doing an extended trip during Run Off you will need t​o book in at least 6 months before Feb so we can lock in your accomodation at​ ​the lodges

RU​N OFF FISHIN’ IS THE BEST TIME FOR FISHIN’

JU​ST DOON IT ‘TEST MATCH’ EXTENDED TRIPS

Extended trips are not for the faint hearted. Trips over 2+ days we call our ‘Test ​Match Trips’

With Capt’n Doon, you will be vying for the elusive ‘Boon’ Moustache & Cricket ​Cap through an intense 2+ days playing out in the heat, all zinced up, cracking ​fish through the covers.

WHAT IS RUNOFF FISHING?

It is at the end of the wet season in the NT - Feb - May where the waters from ​the floodplains are subsiding & draining into the large river systems.

Big Barra love sitting at these creek mouths waiting for baitfish - which is what ​we look for when targetting Barra.

This increases your chances of landing a big girl - because they are out in force ​during this time. Any other time of year - she’s much more tough going.

That’s why runoff is ‘famous’ & so popular - these trips need to be booked well ​in advance - especially for accomodation purposes.

SHADY CAMP: On the Mary River National Park, NT, is a top spot for ​barramundi fishing. Located 120 km from Darwin, it's famous for its ​tidal barrage and diverse fishing opportunities. Surrounded by ​wildlife and stunning outback scenery, it’s a cracking spot for ​Dooners during the Run Off season.

DALY RIVER: The Daly River, located about 220 km southwest of ​Darwin, is a renowned fishing destination, especially for ​barramundi during the Run Off season. Known for its wide, deep ​waters and stunning riverbanks, the fishing and the scenery are ​equally as amazing. This location is famous for fishing competitions ​like the Barra Nationals and Girls Gone Fishing

DUNDEE BEACH: Located 140 km southwest of Darwin, is a top ​destination for barramundi fishing charters. Known for its tidal ​rivers and creeks, the area provides excellent opportunities to hook ​trophy-sized barramundi.

If you require water & power, we can hook you up, otherwise, feel ​free to camp stand alone.

Humpty Doo shops only a short drive 4km from here - and access to ​local tourist attractions in close proximity

Coolalinga shopping centre only 10 minute drive

Pets welcome upon discussion - we have 2 little princesses who can ​be a bit protective - so wanna make sure your fur baby will be ok!
